BUT I LOVE HIM!
Readers Rating :9.00

Lisa met Kunle at the birthday party of a mutual friend. They were introduced and hit it off immediately. She fell in love with his big friendly smile and couldn't stop laughing at his boyish jokes. Before she left, he asked for her phone number and BB PIN so he could keep in touch.

They became inseparable after that and she was sure she had met her life partner. After all he had a good job and lived on his own. She was sure he would propose without delay since he clearly enjoyed her company and kept telling her how much he loved her.

But the weeks had rolled into months and the months had become years; actually 5 years had passed since they met. And he was yet to propose or even introduce her to his family. Whenever she complained about the situation, he would tell her to calm down and stop being so anxious. That she had to be patient with him as he had everything under control.

Another thing about him bothered her endlessly. He had never taken her to his house and so she did not even know where he lived. He claimed his landlord was very hostile to his guests and that he was about to move to a more conducive location anyway. Her friends and family urged her to break up with him and get on with her life, but she felt she had already invested too much time in the relationship to throw it all away. "I love him too much," was always her answer. And so she hung in there, certain that sooner than later, he would settle down and marry her.

On a fateful day it all came crashing down.

They had met at an eatery to have lunch on one bright Saturday. They had ordered for food and she was just about to tuck into her plate of steaming hot ogbono soup and amala when an irate woman stormed into the building. She marched straight up to Kunle and gave him a dirty slap. Then she grabbed the plate of soup and emptied it on Lisa's head all the while screaming, "So this is your slut? Home wrecker, husband snatcher, I'll show you today!"

Before Lisa could even stand up or speak, the furious lady fell upon her beating her and ripping at her clothes. She screamed to Kunle to help her but all she saw was his retreating back as he scrambled to escape from the venue. As soon as her attacker saw him running away, she pushed Lisa away and ran after him. They both departed together in Kunle's car.

Lisa was left traumatized, shocked, disgraced and tattered. A gracious lady gave her a large scarf to cover herself and she called a cab and hurriedly left the venue. She never saw or heard from Kunle again. Apparently, he never let her come to his house because he was a married man. He had kept up the façade of being single just to ensnare and use her for all those years.
Single ladies please do not allow "Love" or sentiments to blind or deceive you. Rather than crying about how much you love a suitor, direct your energy into finding out about him. Anyone who hides important details about themselves is up to no good and should be avoided.

Keep your emotions in check long enough to use your brain to ascertain if you are dealing with a genuine human being or a brazen wolf who is simply out to defraud and deceive naive ladies.

Nice story, happens all the time. Just goes to show how stupid a lot of women are. Kunle did nothing more or less than any man would do. Men are built to be dogs, it is the woman who has to be cautious and Lisa was not. Well said Lady Yudy, spend time to check up on your partner, in any aspect of life from love to business.
