PROCRASTINATION as a character trait.Character Series...Part 2


This is a problem that many people face today. It is the habit of delaying an important task, usually by focusing on less urgent, more enjoyable, and easier activities instead.

This is a problem that many of us face in life and it can be debilitating (yes I said so) to one's life, marriage, career, business thereby leading to unhappiness and anything that affects one's productivity can lead to depression.

More so in this era of social media where we tend to spend time more on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp being the major culprit!

Ask yourself the following questions...

What activities do you procrastinate on?
Why do you procrastinate on them?

Sometimes you might find that it is out of sheer laziness (unwillingness to act) that makes you procrastinate. You have to be sincere with yourself in answering these questions as that is the only way you can overcome the habit.

The first step to overcoming procrastination is to recognize that you're doing it.

Learn to prioritize by making a daily to do list.

Find an accountability partner/help to hold you to your schedules.

Set a timer on your social media pages. I just discovered Instagram has one. Once you reach the limit you switch to other things on your list.
